Wanda Reese's Journey
Wanda Reese, a native of Atlanta, is no stranger to the gospel music community. She is a psalmist, worshipper, wife, mother, proud nana and servant after God's own heart. She serves faithfully as the Minister of Music at Bethesda Cathedral in Decatur, Georgia, where her husband, Suffragan Bishop Stewart Reese, Ill, is Pastor.
She has been afforded the opportunity to use her musical gift on prestigious stages in the Metro Atlanta Area. She appeared in Evidence of Things Unseen at Center Stage, Cotton Patch Gospel at the Alliance Theatre and the Rialto Theatre, Soul of the South at the Olympic Village and The New Old Time Christmas Gathering at the Stone Mountain Arts Station. Wanda was also a member of The Stewart Reese Ensemble and Jerome Robinson and Perfect Prayze. While singing with Perfect Prayze, the group opened shows for recording artists Donnie Mcclurkin, The Winans, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Denise Williams. Wanda has also traveled abroad to Poland and Egypt as a guest clinician and worship leader.
Her musical background is also comprised of professional recordings, which include the 2005 Mama God Bless You project with the Bethesda Cathedral Choir, completing its work in 2007 with a video recording. She has also recorded with notable artists such as Don Thomas, Eric Moore, Tina Walker and Walter Hawkins.
On May 12, 2017, Wanda released her EP entitled, "Heaven." This project was produced by Chicago native, Demond Mickens. Through this project, Wanda hopes that people would embrace the presence of God, receive healing and deliverance, and not allow their past or even current state in life to keep them from fulfilling God's purpose for their lives.
